Carprecium, Millon Auction House's specialist collectible vehicle platform, will be auctioning a selection of motorcycles and classic cars live via its internet platform
www.carprecium.com, on Monday 6 March 2023 at 7pm.
With a selection of meticulously chosen vehicles, Carprecium aims to defend a committed conception of the automotive industry today: cars were better before.
"Back to Basics" is the aim of this sale. What is it that has established the classic car and motorcycle as an object of desire, a collector's item and, in some respects, even an objet d'art? Carprecium answers this question through auction: all the vehicles in the sale have very specific characteristics that make them pieces of heritage and history. Why do these mechanical works of art arouse such passion?
The sale catalog features a variety of vehicles that will appeal to the widest possible audience. Among the collectible motorcycles: the iconic British Triumph T100 and TR6SS, from 1955 and 1963 respectively, the nostalgic Yamaha LB 50 Chappy in Japanese version, the timeless Suzuki 1500 intruder LC from 2001, and a superb 1987 BMW R65 café racer with only 1000 kilometers on the odometer (original!). Other rarities include a Yamaha 500 SR, a 1988 BMW R65 TIC, a Honda 500 Four and a Benelli Trk 502 x still under warranty. On the 4-wheel side, the auction house offers a Porsche 944 in 2.7L version, for lovers of smooth but sporty engines.
In keeping with the theme of the sale, a very rare 1955 Sunbeam Alpine Roadster - commonly known as the "Talbot Alpine" - a monument to British motoring history that revolutionized the small spider market, particularly in the United States, naturally finds its place in the selection. The more nostalgic will find a 1973 Mini Morris 1000 with only 68,000 original km, while the more sporty will appreciate a beautiful Porsche 911, 964 from 1982. Finally, those who love cars with character will appreciate the unloved Renault Avantime V6, the emblematic Honda S2000 with its Vteck engine, or the Maserati Quattroporte and its melodious V8.
