Exceptionnel vase couvert de forme balustre en faïence émaillée polychrome de style Néo-Renaissance.
Il présente un riche décor de rinceaux, de guirlandes de fleurs "aubergine" et vertes dans des cartouches bleu turquoise, le tout sur un fond ocre/jaune. Ce même décor est reproduit sur le piédouche et le couvercle.
Chaque face présente un petit médaillon centrale figurant un coq flanqué des initiales "THD" .
Deux mascarons souriants en relief a l'émail céladon répondent aux têtes de boucs latérales.
Signé deux fois du monogramme "THD"

A rare earthenware vase by Theodore Deck and attributed to Louis-Robert Carrier Belleuse for the sculpture. It shows a rich decor of tendrils, mauve and green on a turquoise background flowers swags cartouche, the whole on an ocher-yellow background.
Each face shows a central locket with an enamelled rooster flanked with the "THD" initials.
Two celadon enamelled smiling mascarons answers to the sidewas goat's heads.
Signed twice with the "THD" monogram.
