He seems ready to fight his enemy with courage and determination. Coffee-red, beige and orange terracotta with traces of manganese oxides, good overall condition Nayarit, San Sebastian, western Mexico, 100 B.C.-250 A.D. 53.3 x 18.5 x 22.8 cm Provenance: Former Yvon Collet collection since 1969. Galerie Mermoz, 1989. Bibliography: Coast to Coast, Rijksmuseum Voor Volkenkunde editions, Leiden 1993, p.314, fig.294 for a very similar warrior. A thermoluminescence analysis from the QED laboratory will be sent to the purchaser.
