*Seated healer
arms raised and hands symbolically pointing to the earth. Her face sports a gentle, benevolent expression with a good-natured wry smile. Her skull is deformed upwards, covered by a veil held in place by a hoop decorated with pastillages. Beige and coffee-red terra cotta, small chip on the top of the veil and the end of the skirt, slight chip at the end of the nose, marks of time. Jalisco, Ameca, Western Mexico, 100 B.C.-250 A.D. 44.5 x 27.7 x 18 cm Provenance: former Yvon Collet collection, 1967. Galerie Mermoz, 2001.
