*Rare pair of statuettes
of seated twin sisters. They wear headdresses, one of which is adorned with a headband and a side ornament of small shells, tambas, necklaces and armbands. These rich ornaments indicate their important position in the clan. Their bodies are covered with ceremonial paintings. In one case, a small dog modeled in relief on the torso is about to embrace her tenderly. Polychrome terracotta, some traces of manganese oxides, good overall condition.
