Italy, Venice, end of the 16th century, after the portrait of Titian by Jacopo Sansovino (1486-1570), which was one of the portraits of artists that protruded from the doors of the sacristy of Saint Mark's in Venice among the frames combining niches and arcatures.
H of the bust alone : 14,5 cm

Iacopo Tatti, known as "il Sansovino", sculptor and architect, pupil of Andrea Sansovino, whose name he took, settled in Venice in 1527 after the sack of Rome. In addition to his monumental creations, he made a name for himself in the art of creating small bronze statuettes, reductions of bronze or ancient marble to satisfy the taste of collectors.
