In-4, purplish morocco, richly decorated smooth spine, wide gilded and mosaic decoration framing the covers with floral motifs in spandrels, wide central geometric border decorated with small gilded irons, cream morocco lining decorated with small gilded flowers with gilded foliage framing, double gilded fillet on the edges, gilded edges, covers. (period art nouveau binding by Flammarion-Vaillant - gilding by Mainfroy). 38 illustrations by Maurice Leloir engraved with etching and burin by Léon Boisson: 1 header vignette, 36 large in-text figures and 1 cul-de-lampe. Limited edition of 300 copies; one of 50 on japon (second paper) containing 2 states including 1 hors-texte suite of illustrations. A superb copy in double-signed contemporary morocco.
