A French artist from Lyon, entirely self-taught, I was truly overwhelmed by the passion of painting in 2008. From pencil sketches, I started to make portraits in pastel. Then the pastel naturally gave way to acrylic. I work in an intuitive and spontaneous way, refusing any objective control of my gestures. I only begin to paint after a long process of inner maturation of my subject of study, which I define progressively when a conjunction of elements is created around my main thread, my initial inspiration. This inspiration comes from readings, poems, emotions and reflections emerging from music, films, my personal life and my moments of immersion and contemplation in nature. I like to work with the transparency of colors, driven by my obsession with creating plays of light and depth. I am in constant research on the work of the material and do not use brushes for a long time. After a series of works exclusively with sponges, and others with the knife, from now on my only tools to paint are ladles and bowls in calabash brought back from Burkina Faso with which I pour my preparations of pigments and inks on the canvas laid on the ground.
