Edition at 172 copies; head copy no. 1 on Japon printed for the banker William d'Eichthal, with a suite of the 28 "smoked" black compositions, a color suite (each signed on the jacket by Schmied) and a handsome E.A.S. and autograph bill signed by Schmied to M. d'Eichthal: "Dear Sir, I am pleased to enclose with your copy a color suite in addition to the promised black suite. As soon as I have the time, I'll make you a watercolor [...]". This copy was included in the La Lettre et l'image exhibition at Meudon in 1996.Estimate
