Paul & Virginie. Preceded by a study on the origins of Paul et Virginie by S. Cambray. Eaux-fortes by Laguillermie. Paris, Librairie des bibliophiles, Jouaust, 1878. In-12 navy-blue morocco, ribbed spine decorated with triple gilt fillet framing (one dotted), gilt title, place and date, quadruple gilt fillet framing the boards (one dotted), double gilt fillet on the edges, gilt edges, cream morocco linings with fine cold-stamped marine decorations with a mosaic boat on the first cover and a gilded seagull bearing a small mosaic letter on the second cover, in a fine gilded frame, navy blue moire endpapers, in a slipcase (De Samblanx-Weckesser). Joints of first cover cracked and very fragile. Frontispiece portrait and 5 out-of-text figures by Laguillermie. N°3 of 25 on Chine ("petit papier"). (Vicaire I, 606.)
