Large in-8 havana morocco, spine ribbed, gilt title, triple gilt and cold fillet framing on boards and caissons, lavaliere morocco lining with beautiful mosaic and gilt decoration of Egyptian and Roman symbols in a gilt fillet frame and mosaic lotus flower garland, brocaded silk endpapers, gilt tr., covers preserved, in edged slipcase (Ch. Meunier 96). 21 compositions by Paul Avril. Edition of 500 copies; n°35 of 200 on Japon or Arches vellum (here on Japon) with the etchings in three states (one with remarks). A very fine copy in a beautiful lined binding by Charles Meunier.Estimate
