Theater, with commentaries, &c. &c. &c. sl [Genève], sn [Cramer], 1764. 12 vol. in-8, marbled basane, ornate ribbed spines, red mar. title-pages, triple gilt fillet framing the boards (period binding). Covers worn, some rubbed. A fine edition printed by Voltaire's Cramer brothers in Geneva, with accompanying commentary. It is illustrated with a frontispiece by Pierre engraved by Watelet depicting the Genie crowning the bust of Corneille and 34 figures by Gravelot engraved by Baquoy, Flipart, Lemire, Lempereur, de Lorgueil, Prévost & Radigues (Cohen 255.) Freckling, some light marginal spotting, paper foxed in places.
