It is illustrated with a frontispiece by Picart, 2 fleurons on the titles by Overbeke, engraved by Malder & Gouwen, a header vignette engraved by Bernaert, a large lettrine, 124 mid-page in-text figures by Lebrun, Leclere, Maas, Picart, Prunt, Romain, Tosca, De Wit & Wandelaar engraved by Bouche, Bouttats, Folkema, Gunst, Jungmann, Schenk & Wandelaar as well as 3 large hors-texte plates each containing 2 fine figures by Lebrun engraved by Folkema.
