How much does it cost to buy at auction?

What are buyer's fees?

Buyer's fees are calculated on the basis of the hammer price. They are added to the final bid.
If you buy an item at 100 euros and the fee is 25% incl. VAT, this means that, for an auction at 100 euros, you have to pay 125 euros.

What are buyer's fees for?

These fees enable your Maison de vente to cover all the expenses associated with marketing the items presented for sale:

  • Collection from seller,
  • Expertise,
  • Specialized high-definition photography,
  • Specialized object enhancement,
  • Posting on line,
  • Handling at each stage,
  • Storage,
  • Delivery to the buyer,
  • But also accounting and administrative services.

Why apply thresholds in fees?

According to a mathematical logic, the lower the value of a lot, the higher its marketing cost.
This is why MILLON Auction House is one of the few to apply, in a general way, degressive fees in order to adapt to the value of lots but also to their typology.

Selling a luxury piece of jewelry or a Henri II sideboard, selling a Master painting or a blister-packed video game do not require the same physical and commercial conditions!

How much are buyers' fees?

La Maison MILLON est offers a variety of buyer's fees ranging from 11,90 % to 29, 17% exclusive of tax depending on the sales offered.
These fees enable us to remain faithful to the market and as close as possible to its requirements, while taking into account the volumes or value of a work.

Do not hesitate to consult the conditions of sale present at each of the sales.
