In January 2019, Paul-Antoine Vergeau, associate auctioneer, will take over the management of the Nice-based auction house belonging to the MILLON group. A graduate of Assas and the Ecole du Louvre, he practised in Paris and Brussels for 5 years. He specialises in inventories, old and modern paintings and European decorative arts from the 16th to the 19th century.
He has surrounded himself with a young, small and highly responsive team, experienced in inventories and specialised sales organised around more than 10 specialities, and supported by the Millon Group's network of experts.
Julia Dragone, principal clerk and head of the Jewellery & Watches and Contemporary Art departments, also organises free appraisal days every Friday at the auction house at 51 rue Beaumont in Nice and throughout the region.
Carla Bouic arrived in June 2020 to head up Millon Riviera's flagship numismatics and French and foreign collector coins department, assisted by expert Anthony Camos. In 2023, she also launched the fine wines and spirits department.
Imen Gharbi joined the team in January 2021 to head up the Collections & Estates sales and the Extra-European Arts department: Asia and Orientalism in particular.
Amna Rejeb joined the buyers' and sellers' accounting team in 2023. Working closely with clients, she ensures prompt settlements and personalised follow-up.
In November 2022, the firm moved to its new sales office at 51 rue Beaumont, in the heart of Nice's port district. This new showcase has been tailor-made to host the 30 specialist sales organised throughout the year, as well as the major summer sales. Auctions are broadcast and relayed as the hammer strikes on the worldwide platforms Drouot live, interenchères, invaluables and all the specialist platforms.
