2 vols. gd in-8 in continuous pagination of [4]-543-[1] pp. Brown morocco, smooth spine richly decorated with a nielloed decoration, title and tomaison gilt, place and date at the end, beautiful gilt lace (scrolls, birds, horns of plenty, torches and musical instruments) and gilt fillets framing the boards, gilt fillet (bow and quiver) in the spandrels, double gilt fillet on the edges, beautiful inner lace (identical to the framing of the boards) (post. 19th c. binding)
The illustration consists of 2 frontispieces and 2 titles by Eisen, engraved by Lemire, 6 out-of-text figures by Cochin and Le Lorrain, engraved by Aliamet, Lemire, Sornique and Tardieu, 7 vignettes by Cochin and Eisen, engraved by Bacquoy and Chenu, 5 culs-de-lampe by Cochin, Eisen and Vassé, engraved by Aliamet, Bacquoy, Gallimard and Louise L.
